Mark Moore

Program Director & Head Coach

Coach Mark, who is an ASCA Certified Level 5 Masters Coach has been Head Masters Coach of the Nadadores Masters Program since 1996.

Coach Mark prides himself on developing team excellence in a positive and confidence building environment. He believes each swimmer has an opportunity to use the sport as a lifelong activity to be successful in life, while having fun and swimming fast.  Physical, mental, emotional and social traits are all aspects of his philosophy. His goals include developing team growth, unity and individual excellence.

Mark's coaching career started in 1978. He is a member of several aquatics sports associations and an active member of USMS.

Coach Mark also has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Sport Psychology and Psychophysiology, from CSULA.

 
Coach Mark is the Southern Pacific Masters Swimming Vice Chair and Chair of the Meet Operations Committee.

Tina Neill

Masters Coach

Coach Tina Neill is a graduate and All-American swimmer from UC Davis. She has experience coaching swimmers of all ages in the pool and in open water. Tina dove into coaching after college, working with beginners, high school, and Masters swimmers in Davis. Tina coached a successful high school program. The team was named Public School National Champions by Swimming World Magazine.

Tina headed to Minnesota for a collegiate coaching position. She spent 17 years in the Midwest and started a Masters swim team. Tina was Chair of Minnesota Masters and dedicated her energies to spreading the zeal of open water swimming to the middle of the country. She received the USMS Dorothy Donnelly Service Award in 2010.

Tina continues to train for the open water. She has completed long distance swims around the country and abroad. Tina has completed three Catalina Channel swims, including a double crossing in 2008 and then completed a single crossing backstroke two weeks later.

Tina enjoys helping swimmers of all levels improve in the pool and have fun. She has recently immersed herself in open water lessons and training and assists future Catalina swimmers.

T Sorenson

Masters Coach

Coach T has been swimming with Nadadores Masters Team since 2009 and continues to compete at the national level in US Masters Swimming  

Coach T Sorenson began coaching in 1989 with the Burnsville Swim Club. She also coached high school girls at Prior Lake High School, and most recently coached with the South Metro Storm Swim Club, all in Minnesota. She has coached swimmers from the novice level to Junior National qualifiers including several state and zone record holders and one national age group record holder. Coach T also served as a high school communications teacher, K-12 principal, and then district superintendent. In March 2012 she retired from the superintendency and focused her career in coaching. She joined the Nadadores staff in September 2012.

Coach T began swimming in high school and improved quickly; competing at the national level and earning high school All-American honors her senior year. She earned all-conference recognition multiple times while swimming at Iowa State University.

Kevin Joyce

Masters Coach

Kevin has been an enthusiastic member of the Nadadores Masters team since joining the team 2005.   Since then he has accumulated over 25 relay and individual national top ten times along with several team records.  Kevin also competes in local 5k and 10k races, open water events and triathlons. 

In college Kevin was the head lifeguard at the Las Lomas Verdes Swim club in Fullerton where he managed a very successful Learn to swim program and was also the head coach of the clubs swim and water polo programs.  In addition to Coaching Masters Swimming he works as a Project Manager for Miller Contracting in Irvine managing small and large commercial construction projects throughout Southern California.

Kari Geller

Masters Coach

Coach Kari has worked for the Nadadores since 2007. She has coached Novice, 8 & Under, 10 & Under, and Masters. Coach Kari is known for her calm and patient coaching demeanor; she has a unique ability to relate to her swimmers.   She has also worked as a swim instructor for Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim School and Wild Child Water Play.   Coach Kari is an avid athlete and enjoys kayaking, paddleboard, surfing and open water swimming.
