Swim Tips from Coach Mark-

Six steps to a perfect stroke- using your Body-Head-Arm-Elbow-Fingers-legs

1.  Your body should roll to the side think “rotisserie”.  Rotate your whole body from head to toe.

2.  Your head should look down and slightly ahead.  It needs to roll to the side when you breath (never lift it up).

3.  Your arm should enter the water with a slight bent at the elbow, then fully extend below the surface before the pull.

4.  Your elbow should come out of the water first – the higher it goes- the easier it is to rotate from side to side.

5.  Your fingers should be just above the water until they go back under- any higher just wastes energy.

6.  Your legs should kick no wider than the length of your shoulders- Fast and small - Side to side - (2.4.6 beat all OK).
