Mission Viejo Firecracker LCM Relay and Time Trial Meet
Family BBR and family fun relays after the time trials!!!
Sunday, July 3
Since Long Course Nationals will be held at our pool in August, and
we are not having an SPMA Regional LCM Championships, we need an
opportunity to swim the 400 and 800 relay events.
That's what this meet is for. Use it as a tune-up for nationals and get our relay starts
in order. There is a $15 surcharge per swimmer, plus $10 per relay entered.
Once the relays are done, you can swim up to 3 time trials, for $3.00
per time trial. If you've been struggling to make a time standard so you
can swim more than three events at nationals, this is your opportunity.
Or if you are one of those people who come out of the woodwork for
nationals, and you haven't swum recently, this is your chance!
ALL MVN MASTERS SWIMMERS SHOULD SIGN – UP ON THE TEAM AREA DECK CHAT SO THAT WE CAN START PUTTING THE AGE GROUP RELAYS TOGETHER.
GO TO THE TEAM AREA, THEN SWIM MEETS at http://www.mastersmvnswim.org/phpBB2/index.php TO SIGN-UP!
Go
ahead and post that you will attend the meet. If you know the relays you
want to be in - list them.
Also include your age group (40-44, 45-49,
50-54...)
Meet information can be found at: http://www.spma.net/meetforms/2005FirecrackerRelayMeetForm1.htm (HTML

Individual Reflection
As our Masters program continues to grow in numbers, I would like you to take a moment and reflect on your own roles and personal best performances (workouts or meets).
1. What is your role on this team?
2. In what ways can you make your best contribution to this team?
3. What are you focused on when you perform your role best?
4. What do you need to do to improve your own performance?
Remember every time we work on something to become better, wiser, stronger, or more focused, our team improves a little. Every time our team members work together on something to become a little better, wiser, stronger, or more focused, our team improves A LOT. Everyday, every practice, and in every meet there are flashes of brilliance. Our collective mission is to work as individuals and as a team to extend or prolong these flashes of brilliance, to make them more consistent.
THIS IS WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM EXCELLENCE!
Let us be our best at the National Championships this August!
