2006
Goals
Goals
are important to achieve success.
Goals
can motivate us and provide a plan of action.
Goals
are the most effective when they are:
1.
Well Planned – don’t set
hasty goals
2.
Realistic and Specific – avoid
generalities
3.
Written Out – a great
reference and reminder
4.
Time Specific – set deadlines
and stick to them
Good
Luck in 2006!

Tip (Hand Speed = Swimming Speed)
Hand
speed or hand acceleration will determine how fast you swim as long as you
are
accelerating
them while maintaining “feel” and “pressure” on the
water.
Don’t
just move your hands fast – maintain the feel and the pressure on the
water
as
your hands increase speed – it will make a
difference!
When
doing speed work (sprints – best effort sets)
think:
Power
Drive
Zoom
Explode
Drive
