Know What You Need To Do
How can you get what you want when you don’t know what you need to get it? Needs are your performance and process goals. They are in your control and are things you should be working on every day in your training. They are directional driven – “What do I have to do today to get closer to my goal”? These needs are short term and extremely powerful because they are the intensity you create in your training. If you add intensity to the direction that you have already established then you have motivation.
